Family Time
A few of us celebrated our beloved brother Brett’s birthday on Saturday…such a good man of God and an incredible support to God’s work in IV.
FMLYBND
The FMLYBND played at the US Open for Surfing yesterday. We are in awe of watching thousands of people sings songs about Jesus in a secular arena.
God is good, faithful to the end.

Love Looks Like Something
One of my favorite pictures from Jesus Burgers this last year. God is good, lives are being saved, healed, and delivered.

FMLYBND
The FMLBND is playing at the US Open for surfing this year
WRITTEN BY (FULL ARTICLE)
Southern California’s long-running annual surfing competition, the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing, returns to Huntington Beach later this month and will bring with it an impressive array of musical talent. Two days of free concerts will follow once the daily wave-riding wraps, July 25 and 26, featuring no less than Modest Mouse, the Faint, Twin Shadow, Matt Costa, and FMLYBND.
The Thursday, July 25 show will find the Faint headlining with support from Twin Shadow and local up-and-comers FMLYBAND. On Friday, July 26, Modest Mouse will play following Matt Costa, a folk-pop fella who was in fact raised in Huntington Beach. Collectively, the shows are being billed as “the largest free concert of the summer.”
“Being a bunch of grungy kids growing up surfing and skating all over Southern California, we feel incredibly honored to be playing the U.S. Open this year,” said FMLYBND via statement. “It’s just the beginning for [us] and we are stoked to be … It’s only up from here.” Totally dude. Just remember, what goes up must come down. It’s the way of the wave, brahs.
A PICTURE FROM LAST YEAR:
Appreciation
A few of the men appreciated some of the women of IV Church this week. It has been said that honor is the highway that life travels on.
“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;” (Romans 12:10)

JB Testimony
Hi Jason, just wanted to send you a message of thanks for the books I received in the mail. I can't wait to dive into them. I do have to say that the Jesus Burgers book that I picked up from Bethel helped my sister and I get through our recent road trip. We took turns reading the stories to each other while the other was driving. We were so encouraged by the many testimonies. She ended up giving the book to her friend who she thought would also be encouraged from it. So I am grateful for a replacementand looking forward to reading your new one as well. Many blessings!
Jesus Burgers House
We had an amazing year serving hundreds of Jesus hamburgers to the city of Isla Vista. This photo is from the month of June (photo cred: jarred hicks)
